Arberth Studios is an independent computer games developer based in rural West Wales on the Celtic fringe of Britain. The company specialises in the point-and-click adventure genre, which is in the midst of a strong surge of renewed popularity.
Our first project begun in 2007 was 'Rhiannon - Curse of the Four Branches', a tale of vengeance that began only after death and threatens the sanity of a teenage girl. 'Rhiannon' was released in late 2008 for PC only.
The core of the company consists of three people. All contribute equally to the story, plot and puzzle design, but each also has a specific role:
Karen Bruton: creativity, research, gameplay, graphical detail, game richness, animation
Noel Bruton: game engineering, IT, sound effects, music, company spokesman
Richard Lee: graphic design, game arena modelling, image rendering (see Richard’s Website)
We are currently working on a new game for 2009 - Coven.
